This is not a normal blog site.
I can certainly tell you it’s not.
But before diving into what the Nova Blog is, and get to know the different sections we have created for it, let me explain how the idea of creating a unique space with the best stories from our team and members was born.
My name is Manuela Vieytez, I am originally from El Salvador, but moved to Spain to study Communications and Digital Media at IE University. When I was about to finish my degree, I was very confused about what I wanted to do, and where I wanted to develop myself professionally. I had sales, marketing, project management, and certainly HR between my options to consider, but I was not sure of what I wanted to do. While trying to figure out what I should do, I applied to a P&G event (Future Female Leaders) which, to my surprise, was being managed by Nova Talent.
I was really curious to know what Nova Talent is, and through a Google search, I found the web page through which I had the first glance of this global community. I know that the same exercise of google searching what Nova Talent is might be what other great people do when they want to start their Nova Journey. So hence, we came up with the idea of having another area on the Nova webpage where we showcase some of the core ideas behind Nova and great articles written by our Nova Members.
But going back to my #NovaMoment… Even though I was not selected to be part of the event, a month later I became a Nova Member, which, to today, has been an awesome experience.
And… remember that I said I was looking for a place to develop myself professionally (basically a job), I must admit I was looking at the job section on Nova Connect every single day. And one day I found the perfect opportunity, a summer internship at Nova! I applied immediately. The rest is history.
Today I am a Junior Marketing and Communications Manager at Nova. One thing I like about my job is that I have been able to create great content that has added value to a wonderful community. And let me add, I am indeed passionate about the impact great content can have on your brand and that is why I am happy to be the person running the Nova Blog.
As I mentioned, at the Nova Blog, you will be able to find exciting content, written by the Nova Members or by our own team (my coworkers). The blog will be divided into four main sections:
- Nova Community: These are posts written by Nova Members. From intel in their field of expertise, tips on personal development, or even some food for thought! This section is specially created for our members, where they can create and share their written content.
- Tech-pills: Technology posts by our own technology team. Learn from our tech-pros on many of the “how-to” posts they will share and read from their own learning experiences of creating top-notch tech products at Nova.
- The Novas behind Novas: A series of publications written by the Nova team. Learn a little bit more about our day-to-day life working at the Nova Office, understand what we do in our roles, read some of the latest news on activities we have prepared for you, and more. Get to know us even closer.
- The winning formula: Exclusive posts written by our CEO and COO, with relevant topics that every top company or top talent should read.
This is how this new adventure at Nova begins! I hope you really enjoy and learn from the Nova Blog! I invite you to read our posts, submit your own, and since we want to create the content that you want to read, leave a comment on which topics you would like us to touch on!
